April is absolutely the BEST time of year for skijoring, in my humble opinion. The days are long, it’s warm out and pretty pleasant. The only downside is paying attention to the dogs and overheating,
but keeping the runs short and taking rest breaks when needed is key.
This little adventure took place in mid-April out on the Yukon river. It was a good workout as it was late afternoon and the snow was a bit slushy.
