At times, taking the “road less traveled” applies to summiting mountains.
Mount Logan is the lesser known mountain in North America – the big daddy on this continent is Alaska’s Denali and is not surprisingly, a more popular mountain to climb.
The St. Elias Mountains lie atop the largest non-polar ice field in the world. The 127-mile-long, six-mile-wide Bagley Icefield and the Bering Glacier span 2,007 square miles and are protected by Kluane and Wrangell-St. Elias national parks of Canada and the United States.
